I was 16 yrs old and 18 weeks pregnant with Jaysen when his father beat me until I lost him. He was named after two men in my life that died before him that were strong, decent, gentle men (unlike his father). Jaysen (Jason) was a dear friend of mine who I went to school with and who took his own life 2 days before I found out I was pregnant. Frederic was my maternal grandfather who died of leukemia a month before I turned 4.
